Base Station Coordination Scheme for Multi-Tier Ultra-Dense Networks

In this paper, we consider a relative received link power (RRLP)-based coordinated multi-point (CoMP) joint transmission (JT) in the multi-tier ultra-dense networks (UDN). CoMP scheme, identify cooperating base stations (BSs) by comparing average (ARLP) of neighbouring BSs with respect to BS having strongest ARLP (i.e., main BS) user. To analyze performance scheme downlink UDN, first approximate signal distribution, and derive coverage probability using stochastic geometry. After revisiting area spectral efficiency (ASE) make it more suitable for also ASE network energy (NEE). Using simulations, validate derived probability, investigate UDN. Our simulations show that RRLP-based can outperform fixed number BS-based high density regime. study NEE reveals not only is efficient than conventional non-CoMP scenario, but its improves BSs.
